The need to create runs deep with me. I'm driven by my own curiosity and satisfied only when I've done my best. I think God gave us that love for beauty and wants us to seek it out no matter what we're going through, developing a mindset that focuses on things that are true, honest, pure, lovely and virtuous.
I love both rustic and shine and am a mix of bohemian-chic and unscripted, timeless romance. My images are my poetry and my inspiration comes from writers, artists, travel, clothing designers, musicians, and real-life, first-hand experience with what it feels like to love and be loved.
I'm a believer in a kind of love that grows stronger over time and being with my little family is where I am happiest! We love to travel, see new places, meet new people and capture riveting love stories...
I have a thousand dreams and the list just keeps growing with each one I take on. If I could, I'd own a boutique, learn how to draw and paint, publish music, study interior design, become a florist, run a kitchen, write a book and travel the world. But hey, maybe I will?
Right now my heart literally skips a beat when I pull up a new picture on my screen from your shoot and know it will bring you to tears because it captures YOUR dream. Yeah, I'm obsessed. (Basically, my goal is to make you cry.)
I call him my modern day Gilbert Blythe, because he still pronounces, "Sorry": "Sorey". If I'm going to be honest, he's more romantic than I am, braver, and smarter, too. If he's read it, he'll remember it (and he's been reading since he was three, so that's an awful lot of remembering).
He was born in Canada but he's an American Soldier, serving in the Army National Guard, which means we spend more nights apart than we would like, but we also treasure the nights we get together more than we would have if we didn't know anything different.
Ben is also my FAVORITE second shooter. He brings me water, rounds the troops, moves furniture, keeps us on schedule, gets angles with his camera I didn't even think of, and gives me foot rubs. I think I'll keep him around.
He turned two last October, but don't let his age deceive you. He hugs, shakes hands, fist bumps, high-fives and blows kisses like a regular pro. He also draws on the bottom of the toilet, puts on blush, stashes canned goods in his bedroom and says "Hi!" to every single passerby, with a courteous "Thank you, thank you!" to anyone kind enough to open the door.
Cedric means "Battle Chieftain" and Paul (his middle name) means "Humble". We love his endless energy and excitement, his theatrical enthusiasm for going outside ("oKAAAAY!!!") and the many other ways he keeps our hearts light in the middle of all of his mini catastrophes.
