How can anyone not be happy just looking at these two?! I knew a proposal was in the making soon for these guys, so when Jon let me in last week on his plan to propose, I was beyond excited to help him make it as special as possible! He already knew he wanted to ask Ashlee to marry him right where he’d seen her for the very first time 17 years ago — at the John Harris Elementary School when they were just 6 years old (honestly, how sweet can a story be?).

He drew a map of the area and messaged it over, so I stopped by to scout it out and make sure we found a spot with the school in the background like he envisioned. The next day, I hid as inconspicuously as possible behind that skinny little tree you see below and waited ANXIOUSLY until I heard Jon’s voice in the distance pointing out different spots in the school yard and asking Ashlee, “Do you remember…?” Before I knew it, Jon was getting down on one knee and asking the love of his life to marry him! I think you’ll guess her answer…
