They met in Greece, but it wasn’t until he sent a birthday message three years later that their relationship kindled. When I shared coffee with Brendon and Tabea a month or so ago, I thought I was getting to know them for the first time, but I soon discovered Tabea and I had met 10 years before – at one of the very first weddings I’d ever brought my camera to… a DECADE ago. Ever since we talked near the dessert table at that wedding, she’s followed along through pictures as I got married, started a business and a family, and ventured into weddings as the years went by. She decided before she even met her now-husband, she wanted me to shoot her own wedding, someday.
And against a LOT of odds – including border lockdowns, many wedding adjustments and me originally not even being available on her date – it happened!!! I got to be there for her wedding day last weekend and I wouldn’t have wanted to be anywhere else. Tabea’s attention to detail, kindness, and love for others are just some of a myriad of qualities I hope are illustrated through her wedding photos.
Thank you, Brendon and Tabea, for inviting me in to some of your sweetest moments together on the day you became husband and wife. I mean it sincerely when I say it was a true privilege to be there and to serve you by curating your day on camera. I hope the photos you receive in return will feel like time capsules of smells, of touch, of sights, of words and emotions you hope to never forget.
