Dan + Emily // The Veranda

7/25/2020

You guys, I am SO glad to be back shoot weddings again!!! After maternity leave and then COVID postponements, this year got a bit of a later start, but it feels so good to be back behind the camera!

When I arrived to shoot Dan and Emily’s wedding day, there was hardly a cloud in the sky and it was already so hot and humid my camera lenses were fogging up… fast forward about three hours, and I was standing in a DOWNPOUR of rain shooting the bridal party! An hour or so later? Clear skies for the ceremony. No wedding is the same… but in spite of the up and down weather, nothing about Dan & Emily’s joy could be thwarted. They were ready for their day, come rain or shine, and it was BEAUTIFUL. They rolled with everything exactly as it was – arms wide open for love, each other, and a good time!!

Would you believe I was getting drenched during these shots?!
Wiping down all the ceremony chairs in time for the ceremony…
Can we just take a moment to appreciate how bright and sunny it got in time for these two to say their vows OUTSIDE?!
Hardly a cloud…
When your dress looks like this at the end of the day, you’re officially a member of the REAL BRIDES club!! No dress makes it through an entire wedding without showing some signs of a day well-spent.
