Nine months ago, Eric and Bethany were sailing in Greece, celebrating a birthday and two years of being together with a catamaran trip around the island of Milos. Over dinner, they’d made plans to catch the sunrise at a nearby beach and as the sun rose the next morning, Eric got down on one knee with a ring in his hand. The ring said it all and Bethany said yes…
Just the next year, on the other side of the Atlantic, the setting sun dappled puffy clouds with hues of orange and stretched soft golden ribbons overtop the rolling, evening tide. Eric and Bethany had made their way to another island — this one in North Carolina — with another ring… this time across from a house filled with friends and family who’d traveled to celebrate with them.
Under a floral-decked arch in the backyard of their beach house, they exchanged their vows.
Under the white tent, they clinked their glasses and shed happy, sentimental tears.
Under the string lights, they lit sparklers, danced and took photos.
And underneath all the planning and travel, schedules, decor, food and ceremony, they became husband and wife.
Eric and Bethany, witnessing this moment in time along with you was a privilege that hasn’t passed by undervalued or unnoticed. In fact, it is the very art of noticing that is behind every photo and is meant to be passed on to you. May you notice the moments worth remembering and cherish them in real time. You are on an adventure of a lifetime and it is worth the weight of your raptured attention. Congratulations!!
