Came across these images today and had to share them here! It was chilly, but not too cold to create some beautiful portraits of Matt and Kacie before they tie the knot this coming fall! 😉 Matt’s crisp suit + Kacie’s elegant pearls and dress complimented each other so perfectly… but their personalities and easy-going approach to whatever ideas I wanted to rope them into was what made the evening together SO much fun.  On a standard engagement session, we’ll spend 90 minutes shooting within a couple hours of sunset and use 1-2 outfits. We started with their more formal choice and ended casual. Scroll for more!

One thing I think people don’t realize is that I am very involved in posing during every shoot. I’m seriously geeky about it! I study hard before every session what I want to portray in each image and am constantly asking questions to pull out natural responses. I’m tweaking hair, hands, ankles, fingers, legs – anything that creates strong, but graceful lines and communicates fun and romance. So if you’re worried about how to model, I give you full permission to throw the responsibility of posing completely onto my shoulders once you arrive. 😉 I LOVE it and will guide you every step of the way.
