Charlie and Anya’s wedding closed out the 2024 wedding season with such zest and freshness I finished wishing it was the BEGINNING of the wedding year! Everything from their ceremony taking place on Crystal Pier overlooking Wrightsville Beach, to their vibrant and artistic wedding palette had me falling in love all over again with the joy of this job.

Their elevated coastal aesthetic brought to life by Kickstand Events (and the most engaged and friendly team of vendors) set the stage for so many special moments… but when Anya’s dad and mom hugged each other in tears and exclaimed quietly to each other, “Our daughter’s getting married! Can you believe it?” I was absolutely bleary-eyed behind my camera in the corner.

Nothing held back on Charlie and Anya’s wedding day – from the splash of radiant colors they chose, to the gusts of wind over the pier (strategically wore my hair back for this very reason), to the live band that crescendoed into the night (was it just me, or was EVERY guest on that dance floor?!), until Charlie and Anya finally said their goodbyes, ran through a tunnel of sparklers and were whisked away in a Rolls-Royce. It was a full-strength, full-joy, no-holds-barred kind of celebration.

Charlie and Anya, it was a true honor to meet your friends, hug your mothers and get just the smallest glimpse into your life! I’m so incredibly happy for you to have each found your person and I know that for every moment captured and shared below, there’s a wealth of others stored in the safekeeping of your own hearts and minds. Congratulations!!!
