Jesse and Karie’s beautiful wedding was held at the Bakery 105 downtown Wilmington amidst the spectacular celebration of July 4th all around them. As their live band played into the night and guests lit sparklers on the courtyard dance floor, just one block away, crowds gathered to watch fireworks light up the sky over the Cape Fear River ~ the perfect grand finale and future celebration for every anniversary ahead.
From designing her own florals to requesting her guests dress in champagne and white, Karie’s impeccable taste showed through beautifully in her artistic and thoughtful wedding details. Shaded beautifully under fringe umbrellas and cooled by the breeze of custom tasseled fans, friends and family cheered watching Jesse dance and fist pump his way to the center while his song played. A hush fell quietly afterwards on their friends and family as the music changed and Karie entered the courtyard on the arm of her youngest son. Making her way around the circular ceremony pattern, she was escorted one by one by each of her next two older sons, and then her dad, who lead her on the final walk to her groom. Emotions were close to the surface during their vows as she expressed how deeply she’d known loss in years past, and how devoted she was in the giving of the rest of her life to the man standing in front of her, ready to dedicate his own life in return.
Jesse and Karie, I was honored to shoot your wedding day and wish you both all the most wonderful gifts life and marriage have to offer. You are loved!
