The chances that Cole and McKenna’s paths would cross may seem like one in a million, but if you ask them, they’ll say it was God. She was on a weekend trip from Wilmington, NC, visiting a friend; he was a on a guy’s night out in Virginia Beach for the 4th of July… and when they met for the first time, they could’ve had no clue they were standing just two minutes away from where they would marry each other the very next year!

Cole had a flight out the next morning, but that didn’t stop them. They arranged to meet each other at 7AM for coffee before he left town, and the rest is history… on a rainy November day on a waterside deck at the southern tip of the Chesapeake Bay, as the warmth of family and friends surrounded them, they exchanged their vows.

Their guests were ushered into a reception space filled with candlelight, steaming plates of hot food and the sound of a live band willing every guest to join in on the celebration, but it only seemed fitting that at the end of the night, they would sail away to their afterparty held at the place that began it all less than a year and a half earlier!

Congratulations, Cole & McKenna!! I know you’re forever grateful that your paths crossed, but I, too, am beyond grateful that MY path crossed with YOURS, leading to the opportunity to capture one of the most meaningful days of your life. ❤ Thank you for giving me that privilege… from the very beginning, you’ve felt like friends and we already miss having you here, so don’t be strangers!
