Every time I take portraits of Josh and Joy I think to myself that “This is my new favorite session…” and then we meet again and that becomes my new favorite. First there was their engagement session in Bald Head Island, then there was Joy’s bridal portraits under the most glorious oak tree with Spanish moss, then their southern classic wedding at the Farmhouse at Green Hill, and most recently, this romantic anniversary session downtown Wilmington. They had just flown home from their castle stay in Ireland before stepping right into colonial America for anniversary portraits, jet lag and all. With its pomegranate and fig trees, azalea bushes, rose beds and dipping pool, the terraced gardens at Burgwin-Wright House welcomed them back to America with all the quiet, gentle charm of a Secret Garden novel… 🌹
If you felt drawn to this garden session, you’re going to love these spring portraits at Airlie Gardens…
